This is a terrible thing that has happened to a child in Atkinson. On Thursday afternoon a 10 year old was almost abducted walking home from the Atkinson Academy. I am in shock that i had to find out about this abduction attempt on the channel 9 news today, the 19th of May. This incident happened on last Thursday afternoon, and here it is on Monday, and i find out on the news? Are any parents upset about this delay? Are there any parents out there that still don't know about it? The Video below is what i watched on the news, and scroll down to watch the reason given to us by the chief why we found out 4 days later.

Makes me wonder if the Chief had more important things on his mind, like his new car issue? Or is his age starting to show in his job performance?
He's pathetic and we'll likely be stuck with him until he retires or something really bad happens and someone gets hurt. Why doesn't the BOS take this seriously?
Im very angry the more i think about what just happened here. Here we have 2 school days after the attepted abduction that kids walked home from school without notification. Angry? You bet. No one seems to care? The chief was worried more about his new Police car than trying to notify anyone about what happened last thursday.
Everyone should be concerned about what just happend here in Atkinson.
